Waiting on God means to be patient in His presence. As the character of His glory is portrayed in who we are it may sometimes seem as if He is motionless towards our requests.
This is not true.
The Bible says that He is not a man that He should lie nor that He should repent.
Going further into that scripture let us look at what the Lord tells us so that we can be reassured of His truth.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, He tells us to pray without ceasing. In the garden of Gethsemane, He gives an example of surrender in the full knowledge of God’s will.
Often when I don’t see my desires come to pass, I say “Let God’s will be done.”The Spirit within me then responds with a simple yet intriguing question.
“What do you desire?”
See, the thing we often leave behind in our hearts in times of distress or waiting is the initial vision we once had of the desires of our hearts.God patiently spoke to me to say,
“I have placed desires in you.”
God has placed desires in you! And He desperately wants you to cherish them till they come to pass.
Which is why we read in the Psalms that he fulfills the desires of our hearts and renews our strength.
Yes! It shall come to pass.
Everything that you desire that is according to His will! All of it! In the fullness of His glory!
Yet how do I know if its right?Easy answer. Don’t conform to this world. Retain a renewed mindset by reading His word daily. Discover God’s heart in his Word till you find God’s heart in you.
You will surely be transformed.
