Digging deep

According to recent studies, a quadrillion tons of diamonds have been found under the earth. The large quantity is thought to decrease the overall value of diamond itself.

And yet we have one situation. In order to find those diamonds, one must dig deep.

Like the location of the diamonds ,below the earth’s surface, the Bible is evidently there. The Bible is all in our hands. We have access to podcasts. But when do we check them? You need to understand the depth of His character to attain a deeper relationship with Him. Salvation is relationship and relationship is salvation. He has won us over by His precious act of love on the cross. He loves us so much and desires to come close to Him.

He reached out to us first. He takes us by the hand and calls us into His kingdom glory. We have this great privilege of being called His own.

Remember that He loves you so much and He desires to spend time with you. He wants to hear your voice. And thinks of you each day. Find Him in His presence like looking for diamonds. It’s a matter simply staying close to Him. This means praying often ; and seeking His Spirit deeply.

Learning how to seek God in hard places

God listens to the cry of our hearts but do we listen to him?

I’ve seen Him work in miraculous ways in my life. Although it seems like a clichĂ© ; His grace is never ending. If we delve deep into His love we are able to see that.

Understand that God isn’t limited to our capacity. His love is never ending and His grace goes beyond who we are. If we are able to see His hand in everything, we would worry less. He says in scripture that we should not fear.

The key to not fear is to not trust ourselves. Sometimes we feel as if we have the answers. But in truth, they are nonexistent without Him. The solutions we find are only temporary but His grace is eternal. I spoke once about His grace and realised that I needed to stop looking at other people and start looking at Him.
It’s easy to look around but looking up brings forth much more grace. Look up to the Messiah today.
He cares more than you care about your own situation❀

People seem to be rushing around. Worrying within themselves. Trying hard to fit in. Is the skirt too big, are the shorts too small? There is always that worry. Sneaking up in the dead of night, it can even come with studies.

It tags along with every move you make and alters the way you think. What if you could be more than that? There was a greater you. A stronger you. Someone that decidedly took the initiative to grow out of despair ; all the worries of this world.

Take no thought!

All the insecurity comes from ourselves. We try so hard sometimes don’t we?

There is peace available for you. You don’t realise it but it comes with every stride of faith you place within the Lord God almighty. He restores you, reassures you and reminds you that all will fall into place.

It’s easy to get caught up in the things of this world at large. But what if we could focus on the little things God is doing for us? The beautiful glories that await us when we delve into His presence and find restoration and peace. We can never lose heart with Him by our sides. He sends seasons of peace so that we can yield crops of praise.

Romans 8:28 and Matthew 6:25-30

What do we aspire to see in life? Success, money, fortune? But what if that wasn’t enough? You see we all have this empty hole in our hearts since we are born unto sin. Our reflection portrays a hunger to know more as we grow older. Understanding how far we’ve come in society’s technology, we always want something better. Something more outstanding ; something more unique. From Nokia to iPhone, consumers never stop aspiring to more. And neither do the creators… What if I told you that you could have an upgrade too?

That there is one awaiting you if you would just persevere and go on? There are so many things that happen in our lives that seem to daunt us to lose our vision.

“Just give up.” It seems to whisper.

Like ourselves, life has its imperfections and to blame it would be to be ridiculously ignorant of our own consequences. We have to be mature when it comes to life. Keep our heads held high and be strong. God could say that to Joshua. He literally said

Take courage bro!

Being strong isn’t losing hope. It’s maintaining it. Keeping it till it doesn’t run dry. This morning I read about the Lord’s eternal purpose. Notice how it’s eternal and not temporary. In times of trouble and pest we don’t need to worry. His purpose is eternal so our success is eternal.

Waiting On God

Waiting on God means to be patient in His presence. As the character of His glory is portrayed in who we are it may sometimes seem as if He is motionless towards our requests.

This is not true.

The Bible says that He is not a man that He should lie nor that He should repent.

Going further into that scripture let us look at what the Lord tells us so that we can be reassured of His truth.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, He tells us to pray without ceasing. In the garden of Gethsemane, He gives an example of surrender in the full knowledge of God’s will.

Often when I don’t see my desires come to pass, I say “Let God’s will be done.”The Spirit within me then responds with a simple yet intriguing question.

“What do you desire?”

See, the thing we often leave behind in our hearts in times of distress or waiting is the initial vision we once had of the desires of our hearts.God patiently spoke to me to say,

“I have placed desires in you.”

God has placed desires in you! And He desperately wants you to cherish them till they come to pass.

Which is why we read in the Psalms that he fulfills the desires of our hearts and renews our strength.

Yes! It shall come to pass.

Everything that you desire that is according to His will! All of it! In the fullness of His glory!

Yet how do I know if its right?Easy answer. Don’t conform to this world. Retain a renewed mindset by reading His word daily. Discover God’s heart in his Word till you find God’s heart in you.

You will surely be transformed.

Believing for faith in hard times…

The greater is yet to come…

Yet do you think that’s true?

As children, we are taught to believe the unseen, the imaginary, the fiction. Yet we succumb to the limelight of adulthood as we grow older. The beliefs of the impossible fade with numerous failures and doubts take surface in our thinking.

Yet I ask you this question today.

What if you could be more?

See bigger, aspire bigger, know greater. Expand your possibilities to the endlessness of the God given capacities in you.

You don’t have to be a big person to do it. To dream it takes courage. To envision it takes insight. So where is all this leading to?

I remember writing a blog about dreaming and yet forgetting that we are not always in the same situation.

Some are suffering depression, heartbreak or even the loss of a loved one. It may seem utterly impossible to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but the greater is yet to come.

Keep your head up high and your eyes focused on the prize set before you. Run the race with fervour and don’t depend on what you know. Because,in truth, you cannot predict the future. Though your life is predestined you will never know your true purpose unless that leap of faith is taken.

Breathe in the gifts of understanding that the Lord has placed in you and breathe out the things of this world. They are not as valuable as who you are.

You. Are. More.
